Posting a blog is one of the most important things you can do with your website. It keeps your content fresh and allows search engines to find out based on new content. 

To post a new blog, simply click on the "+ New post" Green button.

You will now see a new screen with two tabs at the top. "Main" and "MetaData"

{Post As - Admin}
Here you will tell the system who you wish to post as, Note this is an admin feature only.

{Title}
Here you will give your blog a title Make sure you title your blog based on what others might search for when looking for help or information about what you have written.

{URL Alias}
This is the actual address of your blog on your site. In most cases, you can just click the "Suggest Slug" and it will build this from the title.

{Category}
This gives you the ability to group the blogs that you post. An example might be "entertainment" for any blog post you write about entertainment In your area. You could even create blog categories based on an area, school, or city to help with SEO and organization.

{Content}
This is your blog, the write-up goes here. You can also insert images from the file manager by click on insert-> images or you can insert a video. Note for videos, we suggest you always host your videos on a 3rd party site like youtube, etc. You don't want to use up bandwidth with streaming videos and videos can really use up bandwidth so using a 3rd party will save you that bandwidth and in most cases are much faster on the loading and on-fly conversion to any device.

HTML, If you wish to insert HTML into your blog, you can click the "<>" icon and it will open a window for you to paste the HTML into.

Images, You can insert images as well and add style to the images.

{Feature Image}
The featured image will be the image that if someone shares your blog post on Facebook, that is the image that will show up. On some of our designs, the featured images will also show up in the header on the blog page.

{Tags}
Simply put, a blog tag is a word or phrase that describes a blog post. They are an easy way to attach “labels” to your content and link similar articles together, and are typically one to three words.

{Post Options}
Publish: If checked, the system will show your post as long as the publish date is within range.

Allow Comments: Do you want people to comment on your post or not. Unchecked means you don't. Note this can get a good bit of spam if on and our system will do its best to detect the spam but we all know that system work very hard to get around those systems.

Visibility: If public,  anyone will be able to see the post, If private then only your registered users can read the blog.

Publish Date: This is a very common feature. It allows you to write up a number of blogs on any given day and have them posted later that week. 
If you're adding or editing a post and want to keep it unpublished until your happy with it, please set the "Publish Date" to 5 years or so in the future. When you are happy with your post, set the "Publish Date" back to whenever you want the post to publish.
Our Automated Post script runs every 15 minutes. So any post that has a Publish Date that is less than or equal to the current time will be set to Published.

{Attach Listing To Blog}
This feature will allow you to insert a listing into a blog, You just need to put in the address or the MLS number. This system supports suggest so as you are typing it will suggest listings for you. Once you find the listing just click on it and it will show more info about the listing in a small box below. you will see a blue "send to editor" button. You must click that to have the listing get inserted into the blog editor. Once in the editor, you can then modify the data as needed. You can add more than one listing if you wish by repeating the steps above.

{Save}
Make sure to save your changes and don't forget. if published is checked and no publish date, it will publish the blog.
